When I try to install p7zip or p7zip-full 4.57~dfsg1-1 from Synaptic I get:

This is in 'Hardy' (64-bit) with kernel 2.6.24-19-rt

I tried re-installing 'update-notifier-common' and p7zip again but get the same error.

The filelist for update-notifier-common may be corrupted.
