Can not uninstall addons

I can not uninstall any extensions. Everything seems to work, and Firefox says that It has to be restarted. When restarted the extensions are still installed and saying they will be removoed when restarted. And so it goes ...

I run Hardy with:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sv-SE; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061015 Firefox/3.0

Extensions I have tried uninstall is Adblock Plus, Javascript debugger and Filterset Updater.

did you switch back and forth to firefox 2 recently?

I had this problem with an extension i had installed removing the
extensions files in my profile fixed it. What extension is causing this
problem (the one that needs to be restarted.)
