Reassigning, that's because hal 0.5.11-1ubuntu1 fails to upgrade:

Setting up hal (0.5.11-1ubuntu1) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/dbus-1/system.d/hal.conf ...
 * Reloading system message bus config...
   ...done.
 * Starting Hardware abstraction layer hald
invoke-rc.d: initscript hal, action "start" failed.
dpkg: error processing hal (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
