foo2zjs does not work for HP LJ 1018 on Hardy

3) I expected the printer to print

4) The printer seems to be recognized, but then nothing happen when printing (it doesn't print, without any error, the jobs just disappear like they were printed).

Please note that this does not seem a bug in the driver itself, since installing it from the tarball works.
See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=786207 and http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/ both places in which they claim that the ubuntu package is broken, without explaining anything else.

Please run:

groups

and post the output.

Can you try running hp-setup -i to configure the printer and see if it works.

I think you are interested in knowing if lpadmin is included. It is.

Well, actually after that it worked (of course I run it with sudo).
Is it possible that this script failed to run during the install?
