Firefox with prism crashes when a download finishes

This bug appears systematically on two installations of Ubuntu 8.04, with firefox 3.0~rc1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 . When a download finishes, Firefox crashes, but the download is not corrupted and if the option "Open with ..." was used, the document is opened.

EDIT: Ok, It's so because of the Prism extension. To deactivate it resolves the problem.

I am experiencing the same problem since the last Firefox upgrade on Hardy... That's very weird that the browser of a LTS version could stop working properly with an upgrade.

I actually got rid of that issue by removing every extension I had installed but deactivated. So it must be an extension problem although I can't remember the ones I removed :-s.

It's still a bug for as all extension are checked on startup, maybe one passed through.

Is this caused by an extension for you too? please let us know which
one. (you can disable them in tools -> addons)

It is consistent on my PC. Any download will crash Firefox.

I also had the bug: when a download is completed, Firefox would crash. I desactivated the Prism extension and now it works fine.
