can't change screen resolution from GUI after xserver-xgl install

Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-xgl
Hardy, xserver-xgl, nvidia-glx-new (currently 169.12)
Try to change screen resolution, either via nvidia-settings or gnome-display-
You can change the screen resolution by saying
DISPLAY=:0 nvidia-settings
or of course gnome-display-

Incidentally, while the version of Xgl in Hardy does not support XRandR, http:// freedesktop. org/wiki/ Software/ Xgl claims that XRandR support is "100%". I'm going to try building from CVS... wish me luck :P
