"Change Status" menu item only available on quick-start icon

Binary package hint: pidgin

To change status from, say, "Available" to "Away", one can right-click on the quick-launch icon on the control bar and find "Change Status >>", but one cannot find that menu option on the main menu of the Pidgin "buddy" window, where it should be also.

Pidgin 2.4.1-1ubuntu2 on Ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-18-generic, 64-bit single-core AMD, installed via apt-get.

But you can change your status with the menu at the bottom of the buddy window...

Thanks for the report. In the buddy list(program main window) there is a list at the bottom for changing status. Or at least it should be, if there is no selection list there, that's a weird bug.
