Bug Description

I was using RealVNC to connect to a Win XP desktop on LAN through Firefox 3 beta 5 while using xubuntu-desktop (installed xubuntu-desktop on ubuntu 8.04 hardy heron). It worked a few times, however then it started crashing what seems to be all of X11. I get the login screen again since X11 seems to automatically restart and when I log in, Xubuntu hangs....forever! I had to log in to my original gnome-desktop session and then reinstall xubuntu-desktop through aptitude then it'll let me log into xubuntu desktop again. I tried to do the same thing with swiftfox, however I had the same result after a few successful sessions. I tried to re-create the problem using gnome desktop, however it seems to work fine in gnome (even with Firefox 3). I tried using Firefox 2, however I couldn't manage to install Java to use the browser to connect to the RealVNC server so I don't know if it'll work there.
