cannot open *.mpeg,mpe,mp3 and all media after update program but do not know how to uninstall it

I am new using ubuntu
when I'm trying to open my files, computer update program automaticly, and I follow all the instruction by clicking Next button, and after applying update, all multimedia cannot be played. It only green screen.
Why it is like that?
I try to uninstall the last update, but I have no idea how to do it.
Please help me... I will not re-install Ubuntu again.
