Bug Description

Using Hardy/Kubuntu on a Thinkpad T60 laptop.

When the power is plugged in, the fan is running constantly even though only cold air is blown out. When the power cable is pulled out it also takes a while for the fan to slow down or stop.
Very noisy, very annoying.

I have the same problem.

I have a T60p with Core Duo (not core 2). with a Firegl v5200. I am however running the 2.26.5 kernel, in order to get the ath5k drivers.

So, do I understand it correct: Is this problem solved when you use the newer kernel?

Thomas I believe the issue was resolved with newer kernels. I moved off of hardy is super ancient so I'm not sure in which release it was resolved. I also no longer have a t60p.

Sorry, I really shouldn't re-edit comments. That should have read

Thomas I believe the issue was resolved with newer kernels. I moved off of hardy as soon as possible. I'm not sure which release resolved the issue, but I do know it was resolved. I also no longer have a t60p.
