Bug Description

Hello,
I have custom my time display in gconf-editor.
My clock is beautifull, but when I right click on it and then copy the date or time, after paste I have this for example:

<span color="#db7100">sam 31 mai</span> <b>00:26</b>

The html custom code is copy too.

I think this will be good is html is not copy with the time and date.

I hope you understand the problem, sorry for my english.

Hello,
you need to modify:
/apps/panel/applets/clock/prefs/custom_format to <span color="#db7100">%a %d %b</span> <b>%H:%M</b> (for example)
/apps/panel/applets/clock/prefs/format to custom

And MAYBE too (try without first):
/apps/panel/applets/clock_screen0/prefs/format
/apps/panel/applets/clock_screen1/prefs/format

/apps/panel/applets/clock_screen0/prefs/custom_format
/apps/panel/applets/clock_screen1/prefs/custom_format

see here the result:

that is really a special case, not sure anybody else is changing the format this way, maybe you could open the bug on bugzilla.gnome.org directly? that seems an upstream issue, and the ubuntu team doesn't have the ressources to work on such corner cases right now

nobody seems to care enough about this detail to send it upstream, closing the bug for now then, feel free to reopen if you are interested to send it to bugzilla.gnome.org

I care about this problem...

I've Intrepid Ibex on my notebook and I wish to report
- the "Copy Date" command doesn't agree to the specified format as it prints out as weekday, month day year (%W, %B %d %Y)
- the "Copy Time" command reports the exact format specified in the custom_format property abbr-weekday day abbr-month abbr-year <b>hh:mm</b> (%w %d %b %y <b>%H:%M</b>)

The two commands then reports different strings adhering to different formats....
