Bug Description

System:
Description: Ubuntu 8.04
Release: 8.04

Environment:
LTSP environment using the Alternate CD Boot option to install an LTSP server.

Package:
Evolution 2.22.1-0ubuntu3.1

I've noticed the the re-drawing and displaying the lists of emails and of the emails themselves in the preview pain is extremely slow. It's even worse if you use the next and previous buttons in the toolbar. This also includes resizing any of the columns or even minimizing and maximizing Evolution itself. This must be related directly to Evolution and the way it interacts in an LTSP environment because no other package behaves this way, not even Firefox 3. To prove it, I installed Gusty's Evolution packages, 2.12.1-0ubuntu1.1, manually on my Hardy system and tried it. This version worked perfectly and the difference in performance when compared to 2.22 is night and day. This also proves that it doesn't have anything to do with the load on my IMAP server (MS Exchange 5.5 SP4) since everything remained the same except the version of Evolution. There must be some difference between the way Evolution 2.22 and 2.12 operate and the debugging options of evolution does not help (CAMEL_DEBUG=ALL evolution &> evo.log):

libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error.
(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied) A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.NetworkManager" member "state" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.NetworkManager")

The other thing to include is that I don't experience any of these problems if I log onto the server itself and run Evolution. It only appears to be occurring on the LTSP thin clients. How do I go about debugging and providing more information to help determine the cause of a performance issue like this since it doesn't crash? I will be willing to provide more information necessary.
