Bug Description

I configure my printer using Kcontrol just in the same way I did under Kubuntu
Hoary but now it doesn't work.
Kcontrol detects the printer and finds correctly its drivers and when I try to
do the printing test, there are no response at all.

Have you try to edit your /etc/pnm2ppa.conf ?
There's a line with just "version".
You can change it to :
version 720

It would be better !
For my 710C, it was the problem today solve.
