Bug Description

When I am copying files from my SD-Card to the computer the mousescrolling stops working and mouse feels weird. A reboot takes care of it. This was not in Gutsy but is in Hardy.

Steps to reproduce:
Copy a folder from an sd-card to the computer.

(My SD-card is formatted in a nikon D40)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description does not yet have enough information.

Please mount your SD card then include the following additional information, if you have not already done so (pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team:
1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture.
2. Please run the command "dmesg > dmesg.log" after a fresh boot and attach the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report.
3. Please run the command "sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" and attach the resulting file "lspci-vvnn.log" to this bug report.

For your reference, the full description of procedures for kernel-related bug reports is available at [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies Thanks in advance!

Hello,

1. Linux Zepto 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 14:43:41 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

Attached is dmesg.log and lspci-vvnn.log

The end of dmesg.log looks interesting, it is full of "psmouse.c: TouchPad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync at byte 4" after I insert my SD-card

It looks a lot like bug #34501 but I do not get random hangs, just when inserting SD-card..
