Bug Description

Report and patch by Armin Taschwer:

I recently updated to perl 5.10.0 (and much more stuff) using
debian/testing. After that, the <ctrl>d feature in ZIM wasn't working
anymore, instead the application bowed out with a segementation fault. I
just tried it with Zim0.23 and Zim0.25. Both with the same result.
I found out, that this was a problem with a map function. So I avoided that
by using a foreach statement. Now everything is fine again. Which piece of
software is really responsible for the crash .. who knows?! Maybe you are
able to find the real reason .. but I doubt your system setup will be
similar to mine, so this behaviour will never arise. Thus, I don't know if
it is really a bug but I think you should know how strange things could
go.

Must be a bug in either perl or in the Encoding module.
Probably will patch the work around anyway.
