Binary package hint: kbabel

I use Kubuntu-8.04. KBabel does not start up. When I try on the command line I only see the following error message:
$ kbabel
ERROR: Communication problem with kbabel, it probably crashed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Intrepid Ibex.
Intrepid Ibex includes KDE 4, and KBabel isn't part of this new KDE series.

But since Ubuntu 8.04 is an LTS release, and Kbabel is part of this release's repositories, this bug shouldn't b ignored this way.

An additional info: It reproduceably happens whenever I call "sudo kbabel". This does not work and subsequential calls of kbabel without sudo fail with the same error message. I have to log out and log in again to be able to use kbabel.

Adrián, in case you didn't notice, KDE is a 2nd class citizen in the ubuntu world and didn't get an LTS tag.

Anyway, as ronny descirbed, he started kbabel with sudo, which screws up stuff, because one is supposed to use kdesudo and not sudo for GUI apps. Now the bug is invalid and not just won't fix.
