Forwarding crashes Evolution

Bug #234692 reported by Adam VK4IM

Bug Description

When forwarding an email, Evolution shuts down.

1. press forward
2. begin typing an email address beginning with the letter 'A'
3. another email address begins to be displayed (<email address hidden>
4. when continuing with the new address <email address hidden> evolution crashes out
5. this only occurs after I enter the dot after adam in the email address.

Work around is to cut and past the email address into the 'TO' field in one hit... typing it in crashes the mail client

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Up until a few seconds ago, I had this very same issue (Ubuntu 8.04, 32-bit)
While trying to gather information to post on here, the problem "went away." The "fix" that occurred may have been related to accessing my Contacts folder -prior- to forwarding an email.
Perhaps Evolution had to refresh it's cache for Automatic Contacts to work?

If I get it to occur again, I'll post backtraces for all running Evolution processes.
