can't sort group names

Binary package hint: pidgin

Hi there,
i use pidgin for my Y! messenger contacts.
The groups i have are shown sorted descending order and i haven't find (yet) a possibility to change the sorting preference for groups.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

This still occurs and is very annoying.

The bug was initially closed because: "We are closing this bug report because it lacks the information we need to investigate the problem"... what info do you need? The description is pretty clear.

The information missing was whether or not the bug still exists in a current version of pidgin. You say that it still occurs but it would be helpful to know which particular version of pidgin you are testing.
