Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-
I thought it might be website-specific the first time I ran into it at intpforum.com, which has a particular variation of the error that causes me to not be able to click on any part of the mini text editor [wysiwig?] for Private messages when typing- the only way to 'click' to any part of the text is for me to highlight something else, and then middle click to paste (I'm on linux) to a location.
Copy & Paste does not allow this same feature; i.e., if I right click somewhere and click 'paste', it will just paste the content wherever the last area to be typed at was, not where I right clicked.
I can't use the arrow keys to get to a place either.
And the flashing text cursor shows no correlation to what I am actually typing- it sometimes shows correlation to where I have clicked, usually not even that. The cursor can be flashing at the beginning of a line, and stay there, while my text continues to pass it...
Anyways, in what appears to be another variant of the problem, I noticed a cursor (albeit a GIANT one) appear on the right side of the webcomic on THIS page (but not on *any* of the 204 previous ones, or the one following it... I just read through every single one in one sitting...) http://
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04
contact me on the ubuntu forums if need be, I won't respond to this email... fINTiP on those forums.

Just to clarify, that only applies to typing Private Messages on that forum (it's a php forum, I don't know if that can be replicated at any forum, or if it's something particular to that forum). It doesn't apply to typing in the threads, that is rendered fine in firefox.
