Bug Description

It is currently not possible to spin down SATA harddrives, which badly affects
the power consumption. I don't know whether this is because of lacking support
in hdparm or the kernel driver, but it should definitely be implemented.

It's implemented in the scripts, but hasn't been tested sufficiently with the
kernel in order for us to enable it in Breezy. You can enable it by editing
/etc/acpi/power.sh

I'd be happy to test it. Is there anything specific a should take care of? What
kind of possible problems may arise exactly?

I tried it and it works fine with my Intel 82801 chipset and FUJITSU MHV2060A
harddisk. As far as I'm concerned it can safely be enabled. Please tell me if I
can do some more specific tests to help.
