impossible read streaming audio and video with hardy heron

Binary package hint: synaptic

After installing Ubuntu 04-08, I try and read streaming contents from dailymotion, myspace, radios etc... and it doesn't work at all. On the previous version, no problem. I tried on synaptic to get all packages I could identify to be codecs audio and video, streaming players... but can't find a solution.
