kmail invariably deletes queued message on crash

Anytime I execute a command that puts a single message in Kmail's hands (send message from drafts folder, send message from anywhere, move message under editing, etc.) and it crashes (which is often), the message is deleted and not recovered. I used to be able to find the messages in .kde/share/apps/kmail/<appropriate folder>/cur/ but now that is impossible.

This thing is a landmine.

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.
