.srt subtitles are not shown

Using latest (2008-04-05) official Ubuntu Hardy packages.
I'm trying to see a video with a .srt subtitles file. Totem show the subs correctly, and

gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///home/dani/Videos/movie3.avi suburi=file:///home/dani/Videos/movie3.srt

too. Debug output seems to load correctly the subtitles, but no text is shown while video is playing. I have the default configuration, no subtitle_font_size option changed.

I have this bug with elisa 0.3.5-3 too.

It is still an issue in 0.5.1.

This bug is definitely fixed on Linux platform.
But on windows it doesn't work yet because of Bug 252620

Can we just close this and open another to reimplement subtitles display so that it's compatible on "all platforms"?
Subs are correctly displayed when you use Elisa on Linux but not on Windows because some GStreamer elements are missing there.

fixed on Linux, need to add the support on windows. I will add a blueprint for this.
