No feedback when internet is down

When internet is down and you try to launch any internet-dependent folder or action, there is no feedback or notification.

If we install elisa on win32,when internet connectivity is not there,after installation is complete if we try to play a audio file,Elisa gives error message 'Gstreamer error'(please see attached screenshot), this error message doesnt come if we install elisa with internet connection on.It will be more appropriate from usability point of view if user gets a prompt of internet being down.

It will be more appropriate from usability point of view if user gets a prompt of internet being down, rather than getting subsequent error messages which may be because of internet connectivity.

The file cannot be played because the additional gstreamer codecs packaged as an external recommended plugin cannot be downloaded (no internet connection).
There is currently no feedback when plugins failed to install/upgrade, and we don't want to get in the way of the user with many error messages, so we need to figure out a non-intrusive way to inform the user that Elisa with no internet connection will work with reduced functionality.

When using search option in youtube , if one gives a search criteria and presses enter,youtube search results return : videos=0
,actually internet connectivity is down,this can be misleading to user.

When internet is down, Video library->TV shows->episode->synopsis page shows completely blank page with no feedback , it doesn't show 'Play now' button also.
