I didn't try to play any file with it,
I've just run it from the command line.

a guess : could prelinking pose a problem?

do you use the autosink from the multimedia selector?

mangar (mycrapaccount-deactivatedaccount) wrote :

Yes,I've used autodetection for both audio and video.

* When choosing OSS, and XV (without the autodetection)
* Totem runs fine, without segmentation fault (thanks! )

what may be helpful as debug information (or not)
hardware: sound: intel 82801DB-ICH4, radeon mobility 9000 (fglrx driver)
what worked and what didn't:
at the moltimedia system selector:
sound:
alsa: fails with "Failed to construct test pipeline for 'ALSA - Advanced Linux
Sound Architecture'"
artd: Failed to construct test pipeline for 'Artsd - ART Sound Daemon'
esd: Failed to construct test pipeline for 'ESD - Enlightenment
Sound Daemon'
 OSS: beeps!
Polyaudio doesn't fail, but emit no sound

video:
sdl : works, no resizing
xwindows: works
xv : works.

auto* is not supported by upstream at the moment. Is about to be removed.
