Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Thunderbird does not appear to be holding onto the SMTP out settings and then creates an error when trying to send a message. If I go into the account settings and to the SMTP settings and simply press OK and then try sending the message it will work. This does not happen every time but it does appear to happen whenever I have to restart the machine.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:
1. Is this still reproducible?
2. Does this still happen if you use an up2date thunderbird package?
3. If you still can reproduce it, please create fresh profile:
- close thunderbird thunderbird ~/.mozilla- thunderbird_ old
- mv ~/.mozilla-
- start thunderbird
- add the account
- try to reproduce
Maybe your profile is borked or something? Can't reproduce it on 8.10 using '2.0.0. 19+nobinonly- 0ubuntu0. 8.10'.
