Bug Description

Binary package hint: saytime

For me saytime does not not work without installing the additional packages libsox-fmt-base and libsox-fmt-oss. Without those two packages, the output is:

sox soxio: Failed reading `/usr/share/saytime/the_time_is.au': unknown file type `ul'
child process returned a non-zero status 2

After installing libsox-fmt-base it changes to:

sox raw: '/usr/share/saytime/the_time_is.au': sample rate not specified; trying 8kHz
sox soxio: Failed writing `/dev/audio': unknown file type `ossdsp'

It is not until adding libsox-fmt-oss is installed, too, saytime works. Same problem for saydate.

Using Ubuntu 8.04.
