Bug Description

Binary package hint: istanbul

Istanbul crashes everytime I select a window to record.

This is the same bug as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=415896

The workaround is installing:
http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/istanbul/istanbul_0.2.2-4_i386.deb
Or, for 64-bit, http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/istanbul/istanbul_0.2.2-4_amd64.deb

This applies to both Gutsy and Hardy.

After using the Debian package above, I have to say that most of the photograms in the recorded screencasts are black. So it's probably not a work-around.

Ubuntu synced the fixed version from Debian long ago. I am closing this bug.
