Bug Description

hi,
i'm using Boinc Manager 5.10.45 with Hardy 2.6.24-16-generic. when i change the preferences of computing, especially "% cpu time" and save them, then boinc manager is supposed to update after a user call to send data or rebooting. But it don't.

Hi,
I think this is no bug but a mistake with handling the preferences (if not I am sorry to imputed this to you).
If you open your project-account there is a link ->project preferences. You have to look there what your "Default computer location" is (you can decide between home, work or school). Then you can go to ->General Preferences, where you find "Primary (default) preferences" on top of the page; and further below: "Separate preferences for home" (or work/or school). If you want to change your preferences you have to change the separate preferences too. If both (general and separate preferences) match and the boinc manager still don't update the settings after refreshing, please tell the project you are participating and the output the bonic manager gives you after refreshing.

thanks OBI to for taking time to propose your knowledge, but i think you've made a little error: this bug was reported on 2008-05-19 and as you might know, now we are on 2009-02-11 (just a little difference !!!)

Maybe you should note too that the actual Boinc-manager is quite newer (6.2.x)

Have a good night.

Well, dino99, does this bug still happen in 6.2.x? If not, then say so!
