Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
i don't know if this is a bug so much as a design flaw.
i just recently upgraded to firefox 3.0, beta 5 and the bookmark file no longer works like it did before.
i have 100's of unsorted urls and urls that have been placed in folders. i use a numbering system to categorize them. but when i open the library to resort them by name -- which i have to do every time now because the s/w doess't save the settings anymore -- and then when i go to bookmark a new site, and i select choose, the list of file folders are not in the correct order. and there doesn't seem to be any way to get them ordered which means i have to go through all the urls looking for the folder. it seems to be sorting them according to the date they were first set up, which is very counter-intuitive. that wouldn't be so bad, if there was a box where i could begin to type the name and then have it auto-fill but there isn't any provision for that either.
this new upgrade is very awkward to use and wastes a lot of time. to make it work in the short-term, i am having to set up a new file folder but now i have several versions of the same folder which at some point, i am going to have to back and move the urls and delete them.
very dissatisfied user!!!!
