What did they do in Hoary? How were they recognised?

The poweroff, volume control (fn+left and right) was recognized out of the box.
The luminosity control (fn + up or down) worked but now they suspend to disk the
laptop. For the others keys (multimedia, internet and mail keys) i used acerhk
and omnibook so it's normal that they don't work now. Sorry for the late report
and if you need more info, simply ask.
Thanks

So the volume keys no longer do anything?

Which brightness key causes the suspend to disk? Can you go to the console
(press ctrl+alt+f1), log in and run

sudo showkey -s

and press the key in question, and then send me the output?

There is no output for the key (fn + up ) to increase the brightness.
For fn+down (decrease the brightness), the output is 0xe0 0x6f 0xe0 0xef.

fn+down causes the suspend to disk only if i press it several time during a
gnome session.

The volume keys work (fn+left or right), I only forget to use the good applet
(stupid error :/)
