hp-lip laserjet p1005 not printing because of no firmware

Bug Description

Firmware for the HP Laserjet P1005 printer is not automatically downloaded, although the printer is detected and added correctly. Solution is to either download by using 'hp-setup' to install printer or the script at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/foo2zjs/+bug/96454/comments/12, but this makes new users need to use the commandline. Firmware should be added to some kind of graphical notification, perhaps into jockey?
