Binary package hint: anjuta
Anjuta hangs when one opens or creates an HTML file and enters a structure of the form "<!--foobar-->". This happens exactly when you enter the closing html bracket (i.e. after "<!--foobar--"). If one enters this structure starting from the last character, no problem appears. Very strange thing...
I'm using version 2.2.0.

Thank you for your bug report. I have tried this on Ubuntu 9.04 (anjuta 2.26.0.0) and the hang does not occur, please re-open if you can reproduce on the latest version.
