padevchooser zeroconf notifications not working

Bug Description
on a fresh hardy
installed padevchooser
configured for receving rtp streams
works well :-)
also configured to display notifications from zeroconf / avahi discorvering and that's not working
notifications from other server is not any more displayed
padevchooser, launched from a terminal displays errors, when notifications sould be displayed (on remote server restart for ex.)

Already fixed upstream, but upstream has deprecated padevchooser.
