The section "The Linux Kernel" talks about the kernel and the GNU tools, so the
section header (compared to the other section headers) is somewhat misleading,
i.e. not describing the contents of the following paragraph.

I agree that GNU should be explained separately in this document. We'll see what
we can do to improve that document for dapper, and give it a major workover.
