Bug Description

pertinent lspci output:
Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM94311MCG wlan mini-PCI (rev 01)

Wireless worked flawlessly under the -16 generic kernel with this integrated card. Update to -17 generic appears to have broken something.

APs are visible, but connection fails. Even to unsecured APs...
Took the lazy way out and reverted to use of -16 kernel so I could use my wireless.

Just ask if more info is needed.

I confirm this.
Even close to the AP, with a good signal, I have a lot deauthenticate(reason=3) messages.
When I go away from the AP, sometimes it looses the signal. when I reboot the pc, I can connect, but after 5 minutes I get disconected, and can't connected anymore, because I can't list the network. (I keep the pc on same place, and don't press the kill switch).

I don't know the progress of the driver, but since b43 is a newcomer, it's possible that this is already fixed upstream.

Hi all.

This problem happens in the kernel 2.6.24-19? I use this kernel and I have no problems. I have one Broadcom Corporation BCM94311MCG with Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Is this still an issue for you with the -19 kernel? Can you try with the -21 in hardy-proposed?
