Getting a black screen and X is restarting when opening http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Gutsy in Firefox (ubuntu 8.04)
The same on 32 and 64 bit version.

 Sorry this isnt the same bug i was thinking about but there is another
bug just like this if i run across it ill mark it as such, AS much info
as we can get the easier to find the dup will be.

Sorry for my other comment this is the same bug on the nvidia card but the intel card i havent seen this issue. wont mark it until more info is obtained as to how he is using the cards.

 Marked as duplicate of bug #212648 If you are seeing htis on your Intel
card also please report a new bug for you intell card issue. This is a
known nvidia problem and is being worked on.

 If its a 8xxx series it is the same bug :) I found one on an ATI just a
minute ago so im in works of finding out what is going on. How did you
install these drivers? i guessing it nvidia-glx-new but did you use
envy? or just installed from our repos?

I installed it simply with the Hardware Drivers application, which you can find in the "System / Administration / Hardware Drivers" Gnome menu.
