no connect menu when static IP is set

Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc

The VPN Connection menu is only showing when using DHCP. As soon as you set a static IP the menu disappears and you'll have to bring up the VPN connection menu from command line.

Thanks for taking the time to fill in a bug and help improve Ubuntu. In order to better help you, could you please provide us with the version of Ubuntu you are running, as well as the version of the network-manager-vpnc package?

You can find out the version of Ubuntu with the following command: lsb_release -a

You can find out the version of the network-manager-vpnc package using the following command: apt-cache policy network-manager-vpnc
