Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
This doesn't seem to be due to any changes in gnome-power-manager itself since g-p-m hasn't had any post-hardy updates, but I've found that at some point after the 8.04 release, my laptop has started suspending to RAM *only* when the lid is open and the system is on AC power.
I do have g-p-m configured to suspend on battery power when the lid is closed, but that's the precise opposite of this.
The system does *not* suspend on AC power when the lid is closed (a strange but true workaround), and I have not seen it suspend when left with the lid open on battery.
I'm happy to provide any logs that would be of use here.

for me it also suspends when idle+lid open on AC, (though it is set to "never")
i suspect that it might take the suspend timepoint from "on battery" value
anyway, this is very annoying when you want leave some 500MB download (for example apt) and go away
ps.: when lid is closed, pc suspends as it should
