Bug Description
I have a Nvidia GeForce 7000M.
I wanted the max resolution of 1440x900, so I went to "Hardware Drivers" (jockey-gtk) and clicked on "Enable" for "nvidia_new". I then rebooted, but the resolution was still low.
I then tried doing "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg". However, I was not given a choice for resolution. In fact, I couldn't find the graphics card in my xorg.conf file. However, using EnvyNG, everything worked after a reboot.
This was on a fresh install of Hardy Heron (8.04 LTS).

If envy worked, it's likely that it works in intrepid as well, so closing the bug.
