Separating this from bug 22985, because it's not necessarily related to that and not enough information was provided. This might be the same as bug 28925, which is now fixed in the newest daily images: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/

I have a X700Pro PCI Express card and single head works fine with Xorg ati (and ATI fglrx) driver. However trying to get dual-head running.... nightmare.

Never were two screens active. Usually in single head the secondary screen becomes an image of the primary (even if this was not specified). Maybe I should start a new bug, but it's hard to figure out were to start.

By the way, using the latest ATI fglrx drivers in dual head setup results in vertical red stripes on the screen en no fallback at all to text mode (just red stripes).

My setup: X700Pro -> DVI - Dell 2000FP screen + VGA -> Samsung Syncmaster 920n
