17:35 < davmor2> Zic: what did you say you did to get the apps to work please?
...
17:40 < Zic> david88_lin: apt-get update/apt-get upgrade and restart Xephyr
             session
17:41 < Zic> I don't think upgrades are responsible of the "correction" of this
             bug, because this morning, I have the same problem
17:41 < Zic> just try to restart your Xephyr session, it works here :}

I guess it's a side effect of running in Xephyr; does it happen on real hardware?

This is a Xephyr ONLY bug, but I have marked as high due to the lack of commercial hardware availability for testing. We need to figure out why the projects have the wrong icon mappings, and when we broke it.

If it is not a MIC bug - can we close it?

No. This is something to do with the way the image is created in MIC to run in Xephyr. It was working fine before the last update to MIC. Something has been broken there. The images work ok on a device but when the chroot is created in a project they are not created properly.
