Bug Description
Binary package hint: kaffeine
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.04
Release: 8.04
$ xprop | grep WM_CLASS
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "kaffeine", "Kaffeine"
$ apt-cache policy kaffeine
kaffeine:
Installed: 0.8.6-0ubuntu8

I inserted an audio CD. The audio CD was detected, i got the pop-up "Audio CD - KDE Daemon". I clicked cancel. Now in kaffeine player, i clicked on "2 audio CD encoding". Now i got the pop-up "no audio CD found". I click on OK. Now the screen of kaffeine disapeares, and "The KDE Crash handler" comes up stating "The application Kaffeine player (kaffeine) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSERV).
Next i start Kaudiocreator. Kaudiocreator can't detect the audio CD in /dev/cdrom.
Right click in the audio CD on the desktop and choose "Extract and encode audio tracks" starts Kaudiocreator, with the following string in the device field: "media:/scd1". Then all tracks on the audio CD are listed.

Thank you for filing this bug. The given backtrace is not useful without debugging symbols. Please install kaffeine-dbg and, if you can reproduce this, post a new backtrace.
I recommend k3b for CD ripping.
