Very old ntfsresize in installer not able to resize NTFS partitions with bad sectors

I am trying to install latest Breezy daily cd image (01/10/05) and ntfsresize
cannot resize my ntfs partition because it has a bad sector. ntfsprogs 1.11 and
upwards (released Jul 22, 2005) supports this, but ntfsprogs 1.9.? in installer
does not. Moreover it took me some time to find out the reason for the failing
of ntfsresize because the installer does not show the error message.
