clicking on icon within Seamonkey takes many clicks before desired result

Binary package hint: seamonkey

Updated to 8.04 when it first came out- everything worked like a dream; yesterday clicking on any item within Seamonkey started to be slow and many clicks were required getting to a stage when nothing happened and I had to resort to keyboard instruction i.e Esc;Enter and/or arrow key
Any ideas welcome

Please confirm if this bug is still active with latest Ubuntu updates.
I cannot reproduce this bug on 8.04.2/Hardy 64-bit with Seamonkey 1.1.12/1.1.13.
Does not responding to mouse command occurs when some particular web page is working
or inside program interface, using mail component etc..?
