Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Started Firefox as sudo, checked for updates. None available, but when I restarted as user, bookmarks had disappeared and I can't import them from the file.
The main bug here is that "check for updates" is enabled at all when running as root.

Try
sudo apt-get install --reinstall firefox-3.0
and 1.9-gnome- support
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xulrunner-1.9
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xulrunner-
(the last line only when you had gnome-support initially)
status confirmed
