Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
When I open Rhythmbox over half of my songs vanished right in front of me. At first the songs count up, and it will display around 200+ songs, but then almost immediately the count will reverse and I will watch as the count rapidly goes down to 70+ songs. This happened in both Rhythmbox and Banshee, which I recently installed. A search of the hard drive shows the songs are not there. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and the system is up to date on all patches. What is going on?

Thanks for your report, what you mean with vanished? they're deleted from the rhythmbox database or from the hard disc? are you using the watching library option? can you get a rhythmbox log with : rhythmbox --debug &> rhythmbox-debug.txt when it happens? thanks in advance.
