Main window is black & white and sized incorrectly

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

When viewing system monitor window is distorted and displayed in black & white.
All windows spawned from this window are also distorted (EX: Help>About).
This machine is an upgrade from Fiesty to Hardy.
System Monitor was working correctly before upgrade.

thanks for your report, which video driver are you using? it sounds more like a video issue to me.

that's a vesa driver issue, marking as dup.
