unable to download contacts from server GaduGadu

Hi,
Despite the message " Your buddy list was downloaded from the server" , the list is not added to pidgin contact list.
Anyone else had similar problems ? sys Ubuntu 8.04 pidgin 2.4.1
Anyone know how to dowload list of buddies from GG in pidgin?

What's wrong with Pidgin in Ubuntu 8.10 that it does not download contacts from Gadu-Gadu server?

In Gadu-Gadu protocol load contacts list from file, and pidgin will run good.
...But you must have contact list in file first.

I've the same. All other comunicators like tlen,or oryginal gadugadu download buddy list normally, but pidgin has not :(
