Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-new

Dependency between nvidia-glx-new and nvidia-kernel existed in gutsy but has been dropped in Hardy.

nvidia-glx-new must depends on nvidia-kernel in order to force the installation of linux-restricted modules. This will solve many nvidia issues in hardy.

Thanks.

Not going to bring it back. The old dependency actually created some issues, because nvidia-kernel-VER was a virtual package, and there were several flavours that fulfilled it, and sometimes a wrong modules package/kernel was chosen.

Oh, and normally you should have linux-restricted-modules installed for your kernel anyway, unless you've removed 'linux-image' metapackage from your system..
